Our 2009 Judge is . . .

The Ceol Na Pioba Solo Bagpipe Competition is pleased to announce that our 2nd annual competition will be adjudicated by Lezlie Webster.

Lezlie is a graduate of the Institute of Piping and an accomplished competitor to include a 2nd place finish at the Highland Society of London's Targe for MSR in 1973, 2nd in The Strachan MSR and 3rd in The Highland Club in 1974. Lezlie serves on the EUSPBA adjudicator’s panel and education board. She also has founded, with her husband
Gordon Webster, the New Hampshire School of Scottish Arts, www.NHSSA.org, which has cultivated competitive piping in New Hampshire and grown to include voice, dance, fiddle, harp, and other cultural disciplines.

After all competition events are tabulated and finalized, Lezlie will offer a bagpipe
workshop.

One Day Competition

After some consideration and careful thought, the competition will be held on one day instead of two. Hopefully, this will make travel arrangements easier on our competitors and guests coming from out of town.

So, mark your calendars and plan to come to Shreveport!
